Volt 230 WITH RESTART

This device is designed to be connected to the single-phase asynchronous motor, to increase the starting torque, during the start-up phase only, connecting a capacitance (electrolytic or film) in parallel to that already fitted (run capacitor) on the motor.

The disconnector disconnects the start capacitor when the power voltage on the reaches such a level as to indicate that the motor has started.

The disconnector can be programmed on request to form up to 5 restarts in case the motor stops due to over-loads or reduction of the input voltage: in these cases, the device reconnects the START capacitor 5 times in order to try and restart the motor (start attempts have been purposely limited to 5 so as not to overstresse the motor in case of lack of success).

In this latter mode, the disconnector can be compared in terms of operation to a centrifugal mechanical disconnector based on the number of motor rpm.

The electronic device is better than the mechanical one because it is:

1) Universal for all single-phase electric motors

2) Ensures stable operation over time

3) In case of the use of electrolytic capacitance, it ensures max power voltage applied to the capacitor

4) Cost saving regards both motor manufacture and device installation

5) Possibility of using Start capacitors with high -capacity values

6) Reduced mechanical dimensions (cylindrical 50dx55h)
